Be afraid. Be very, very afraid. The $700 billion bailout as currently written includes this verbiage:
"Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency."
Or in other words, let the executive branch have supreme power (via the grand pooba Paulson, who has shown himself not to be particularly non-partisan in the past). Not to mention being a former Wall Street CEO extraordinare. Power effective immediately, no interference.
